La Vespa - an Italian symbol

Italian dreams - the Vespa

When one thinks of Italy, various images immediately emerge in the mind's eye, which is usually associated with this land of longing. Besides the sea, palm trees, pizza and pasta, Rome and Naples, Fiat and the luxury brands Lamborghini and Maserati, another image emerges: that of the Vespa. Hardly any other vehicle is as deeply connected to a country as this vehicle. Well, maybe the three-wheeled Ape, the commercial vehicle that, like the Vespa, has not changed fundamentally over time.
We see Italians of all ages meandering through the heaviest traffic with their Vespa. Somehow one or the other of us, for whatever reason, has the desire to drive around on a Vespa as well. With the feeling of freedom without frenzy - because that is not the case with a Vespa, with the sniffing of the grass of the freshly mown willows, the smell of the sea, the scent of jasmine, oleander and the other Mediterranean flowers, all these sensory experiences that one can have not in the car. And that brings us to the most important thing: traveling on a Vespa is like a kind of philosophy.

In cooperation with a rental company for Vespe, VESPA TOUR MARCHE in Pedaso, we can now make this dream come true on a daily or weekly basis. The very appearance of the vehicles offered here makes the heart jump a little higher: fire red.
The Vespa 125 can be rented by anyone who has a normal class B driving license and is older than 18 years. The scooters are suitable for two people and basically you don't have to worry about anything, just get started. A helmet is provided and insurance is also included in the price. If you would like further comprehensive insurance, you should inform us beforehand.
You can cover approx. 300 km with one tank of fuel.
Now you have the choice: either you use the tour suggestions that have already been worked out or you choose your route yourself according to your ideas.

Pedaso, the small town by the sea in the south of the Marche, is a good starting point to set off to the beautiful little towns that are enthroned on the hills. Each one has retained its ancient structure and so your Vespa excursion begins, as it were, a journey into the past. But you should keep in mind that each place in itself is like an open-air museum and for those who are interested in culture, a short detour often turns into a longer stay. Too many interesting small and large treasures that you don't want to ignore. In between the stops to look over the fascinating landscape of the Piceno, as the south of the Marche is called. From the sea to the high mountains, the Monti Sibillini, which border the region to the west, the beholder is the unbelievable beauty of this relatively unknown part of Italy at your feet. It is almost impossible to escape the magic of the Marche.
And precisely here is the experience of exploring the Marche on a Vespa, an experience that will stay in the memory - and in the heart - for a long time. Le Marche, you cannot capture this region with beautiful pictures, not when driving through it, it is an area that you have to absorb with all your senses. The colors, the scents, the silence, the harmony, that is only possible on foot or on a Vespa. And only those who have enjoyed this grandiose sensory experience can understand the many poets who speak of the Marche as a land of harmony.

Of course, it is difficult to ignore the opportunities to taste the excellent wines every now and then, to take an olive oil tasting, to enjoy the fruits straight from the tree in one of the many orchards or to watch, e.g. Pecorino cheese is made by hand. We organize these taste experiences for you, so that your ride on the Vespa is not only a sensual experience, but also combined with a journey through a land of milk and honey.

For 2021, Vespa tours will also be offered for small groups. You can find the program for this at www.kastner-marche-ital.de.
