The aquamarine - our coast and the sea
The Marche and its miles of sandy beaches are by no means as anonymous and untouched as our hinterland.
Since the 19th century, seaside resorts have developed along our coastline, which do justice to all amenities for carefree bathing pleasure.
The most important of these are in the southern part of the Marche San Benedetto del Tronto, Grottammare, Cupramarittima, Porto S. Elpidio and Porto San Giorgio, the original port of Fermo. The finest sand in front of the enchanting hilly landscape that gently rises after the coast. The area on the coast attracted many bathers from "good houses" who built their summer residences here in the middle of the 19th century. So it came about that wonderful villas were created that absolutely lived up to these exclusive locations at that time. Some of them are still owned and inhabited by the families, while others are used as stylish restaurants.
