Devine voices in the stary night

Open air festival in Macerata

Day 1: Arrival in the land of harmony
You arrive at the airport of Ancona and have the transfer to your accommodation, the Villa Quiete near Macerata. Dinner at the hotel.

2nd day: Fabriano - the city of the newspaper
Fabriano is famous for paper, it is considered the oldest paper mill in Europe. To date, Fabriano's paper is one of the most expensive and best in the world. In the museum "Museo delle Carte" you will have a very interesting tour through the epochs of manufacturing, you will see how it was produced in earlier times and in the end you will be surprised with an invention: the filigree paper.
After this experience you will have lunch in Fabriano.
It's time to return to the hotel. In the evening, after a short stroll through the town of Macerata, you will be able to enjoy the performance at the Sferisterio (Don Giovanni, optional). Return to the hotel after the performance.

3rd day: The most beautiful villa of the Marche
This morning you will start to visit the most beautiful park and Villa of the Marche, Villa Buonaccorsi in Potenza Picena. You will be surprised by the huge park with all the stone figures and water features, the garden area with the different flowers, etc. With a guide you will discover not only the park but also the villa. Of course a wonderful lunch on the terrace of the villa is a must! You have a private buffet with all the fine genuine products of the brands.
Return to the hotel and dinner before the performance begins in Sferisterio (Trovatore, optional).

4th day: The Abbey of Fiastra
To get an idea of ​​the cultural beauty of this unknown landscape, visit the Abbey of Fiastra, the largest Cistercian abbey in Italy. After this impressive visit, enjoy a delicious lunch in a very nice little restaurant in Tolentino. The specialties of the brands are varied and all prepared, as it has been for many hundreds of years - an original cuisine!
After lunch, you can take a short tour of the city before returning to the hotel. An early dinner at the hotel, then departure to Macerata.
In the evening enjoy the opera Tosca in the Sferisterio (optional). Return to the hotel after the performance.

5th day: The day of the artists
On your last day in the Marche we will surprise you with many special features.
You start the morning with a tour to Loreto. Loreto is the main place of pilgrimage to Rome for the Catholics. However, it does not matter if someone is Christian or not, the Basilica of Loreto with the Holy House of Mary is worth visiting. The Holy House is of a 600 m2; encased in a large relief of white marble, created in the 16th century by the most important Italian artists in collaboration. But not only that. The basilica is full of wonderful art and you will enjoy your visit there. Small lunch in Loreto at your own choice. In the afternoon, the next surprises await you.
They drive to Recanati. This small town is the birthplace of one of the most famous authors in Italy, Giacomo Leopardi, known for his masterpiece L'Infinito. Beside him also Beniamino Gigli, one of the most excellent tenors worldwide, born here and always associated with Recanati.The most important places of Recanati, the park "Colle del Infinito" (hill of infinity), the museum of Gigli with many private things and the villa Colloredo Mels are part of the visit. Of course, you will also have time to enjoy a cup of espresso in the beautiful main square. In the museum of Beniamino Gigli you will experience a nice surprise. An opera singer presents arias in this place full of memories. After this visit you will return to the hotel. There you have a gala dinner with two opera singers and the maestro Serenelli at the piano. It is not a performance as you normally know. The singers, members of the Villa Incanto * present the most beautiful arias between the courts. There is no stage, they are with you during and after dinner - that means you are in the middle of the scene.
By the way, the artists all have a career in the most important opera houses in the world.

Day 6: Arrivederci nelle Marche
In the morning you leave the Marken to return home. We hope you enjoyed your stay and say: "Let's meet again in the land of harmony".
