See and - admire Naples

Naples has a pretty bad reputation among all cities in Italy. Wrongly! On this city trip, experience the great art and cultural treasures that Naples offers its visitors. In the shadow of Vesuvius, in the fertile area that attracted the Roman emperors, you will see the capital of Campania in a different light.
But Naples stands for much more: for unbelievable joie de vivre and for what everyone appreciates in Italy: the Mediterranean attitude to life that always has a smile for everyone, no matter how dreary a situation may be - in short, sapere vivere!

Day 1: Buon Giorno Napoli
Flight to Naples, preferably in the morning. Pick-up at the airport and transfer to the B&B in the historic center by your guide. In the afternoon you will go on a first excursion. The list of cultural assets is long, but the location of the property means that everything is within walking distance. However, a little fitness is necessary. Depending on your arrival time, you will first get to know Spacca Napoli, the street that has long divided historic Naples. The basilica of Santa Chiara with its wonderful cloister with the famous ceramics will be a sightseeing point today. You walk in close proximity to the Cappella Sansevero, where the figure of the veiled Christ leaves you speechless, get to know the famous alley of the nativity scene builders in Via San Gregorio Armeno and the church Gesu Nuovo, with its magnificent decorations. Of course, a real Neapolitan pizza should not be missing for dinner!

Day 2: In the heart of Naples
This day is dedicated to the culturally rich ancient center of the city. You will visit the Duomo San Gennaro, where the blood miracle is celebrated every year, and, and, and ... it is not surprising that the entire old town of Naples is a World Heritage Site. We orientate ourselves with the viewings according to your preferences and times. However, there are a few highlights. After lunch in a typical Neapolitan trattoria, you will descend into the underground Naples and undertake a journey of 2,600 years in which you will learn the secrets, stories and legends of the city. Duration approx. 60 minutes. Afterwards you will certainly not pass the Caffe Gambrinus on the Piazza del Plebiscito, which is the most famous and renowned house in Naples.
The nearby "Teatro San Carlo", one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe and the oldest in the world, will be another highlight. The subsequent stroll through the Galleria Umberto opens up a new dimension of shopping. For dinner you will again be spoiled with local delicacies.

Day 3: Famous panoramas
The most famous view of Naples is the promenade of Santa Lucia between Castel dell’Ovo and Posillipo with a view of the entire gulf and Vesuvius as well as the islands. From here you start a boat tour where you can admire this exclusive area from the sea. A lot of history goes along with it like that of the construction of the Castello and its actual origins. In the Borgo Marinari, located under the castle walls, and which was used to accommodate fishermen and their boats, you will have a lunch. The imposing, massive Castel Sant’Elmo and the nearby Charterhouse of San Martino can be seen from many points in Naples. This will then be the next panorama point in the afternoon. In the late afternoon it goes back to accommodation. After dinner, don't miss a visit to the Napulitanata (optional). A wonderful, amusing little show that can only be found in Naples. With Neapolitan songs and the exuberant love of life, simply a delicious pleasure.

Day 4: Ciao Napoli
Today you say goodbye to Bella Napoli. Perhaps you will then feel like me, Arrivederci, with a little pain in saying goodbye to this fantastic city. Depending on the departure time, transfer to the airport and possibly an opportunity to visit Pozzuoli beforehand.
