Excellencies and rarities

The Rosso Piceno and Rosso Piceno Superiore, the better quality, is obtained from the Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. These two grape varieties can be replaced by a small proportion of a possible third grape variety, e.g. Barbera or Merlot can be added.
The white Falerio is made up mainly of two grapes, the Pecorino and Passerina grapes. A third grape variety can also be added to white wine.
